What materials are your sandals made from?

Sseko sandals are made from locally sourced East African materials. The bases are made of leather upper and three layers of micro-foam. The footbed is made from genuine leather. Over 90% of the leather in our region is sourced from subsistence farmers. The cattle used is free range, not factory farmed. The leather is a natural bi-product of the agrarian community. Under the leather footbed there is a layer of microfoam that provides cushioning that will take the shape of your foot over time. The durable outsole is made from rubber. The fabric straps are made with various textiles ranging from cotton to silk.
